Reid was super responsive in assisting us with negotiations and helping us buy our home, especially because the previous owner already had an offer (and was on the verge of accepting it) on the actual day of our first home visit. The other bidder's loss was our gain, however, in no small part because Reid was instrumental in carefully drafting an offer and succinctly coordinating with the seller's broker. user585673
Mr. Butterfield is one of the best agents in the metropolitan area. After buying a townhome from him, when ever I have questions or need help about my townhome I called him and he takes care of it. I am feeling lucky to meet Mr. Butterfield.hsiao58
Brings a no-nonsense approach to the often emotional process of buying and selling a home. In a difficult market, he helped us set realistic expectations. He gave great advice on what needed improved, cleaned, repaired. He also was not shy to tell us what home improvements would have a negative return. He communicated honestly and promptly to help us get the house sold.
Although he sold my home outside of his usual selling area, his use of the internet for marketing, his analysis of the market and comparable homes was spot on! We interviewed multiple agents before selecting a listing agent, and we made the right choice.
If you have a potential buyer considering two competing properties, you want this fellow representing your home!paulveraart
I would highly recommend Reid to anyone looking to sell or buy.
He is helpful, astute and very easy to work with, plus his knowledge of the area is vast. I felt very reassured when selling my parents' house after my father's death.
Very professional and nice!pamo7814
My experience with Reid was exclusively with a purchase. Before buying a house you might think "oh this is easy, I'll find a house, decide I want to buy it, and if the seller accepts we'll close!" This is far from the reality. Between walking into the door for the first time, and walking into the house as an owner, you will have LOTS of little and big "things" that must be dealt with. There was no better feeling than having Reid on my team. There are lots and lots of details that require experience. Errors, however small, could be COSTLY. But Reid handled our purchase with ultra efficiency and had an eye out for all the details so we would win. Before meeting Reid I was in touch with a couple other brokers that basically put me on a list of names, and I was one of many who they would call until someone wanted to see the house. With Reid we were not a cog in the machine - he spent the time to find an amazing house and a deal. We were not bidding against a ton of clients on a list. As long as you're reasonable and disciplined, you will not have problems with Reid.zuser20150204140704490
Reid is not only a true professional who is really easy to get along with, but he takes the time to get to know people and understand what they are looking for in a house or property. I met Reid shortly after my fiancee (at the time, now my wife) moved in together in Washington, DC. We wanted to find a bigger place to rent. Reid convinced us that we should be looking a place to buy. We really didn't think that owning a condo was even possible, but Reid walked us through the process, found us a good/reliable lender, and really took the time to get to know us and find out exactly what we were looking for. We went to look at multiple properties. He was honest and gave us fantastic advice on prices, amenities, transportation, neighborhoods, etc. He was not happy until we were happy. We drove from one side of the city to the other together and really formed a friendship. We recommended him to a couple friends and he helped them buy condos. My wife and I cannot recommend Reid highly enough. He is a fantastic guy! And we have him to thank for our wonderful 2 bedroom/2 bath condominium in Washington, DC.dhzazueta
Reid was a stand out realtor! We spoke with several realtors but felt comfortable with Reid's knowledge, honestly and professionalism. Moving from the South to Maryland, real estate is significantly different. Reid was able to cater to our needs and help put things into perspective for us. We highly recommend him for any real estate needs!davidq25
It was a great experience working with Reid. He was quick to respond to our phone calls, questions, and concerns. We were going thru a very emotional time as we sold my family home of 87 years and moved away from our lifelong neighborhood. Reid conducted himself in a most professional manner. His knowledge and sense of humor was refreshing.
We had interviewed several real estate agents before finding Reid. After our first conversation we knew Reid was the agent we wanted to work with.
I hope many other prospective buyers and sellers are able to work with Reid. I know they will be pleased.swilson1a
When my sisters and I decided the time had come to move our 90 year old father out of his long time home and into an assisted living facility, we needed help with everything. Reid went beyond the usual realtor role and first helped us find a place for Dad, visiting several facilities with me until we settled on Riderwood. Once Dad was out of the house Reid prepped it for sale. He arranged to have contractors make some long overdue repairs, paint the house, put in a new garage door, and generally showcased the house to its best advantage. It looked better than it had in years. After presenting us with a market analysis of real estate activity in the neighborhood we agreed on his suggested asking price. He then listed the house and implemented his marketing plan. Lots of buyers came and looked and we received a full price offer about 3 weeks later. My family was completely satisfied with the outcome and would recommend Reid to anyone who needs to sell or buy a house.user764313
